The Kumalong Sno-Riders of Coleman will hold a snowmobile safety course on Friday and Saturday, Jan 6-7, 2012 at their clubhouse located west of Hwy 141 on Hwy 64.

Friday class is from 6:00 to 8:30 PM and Saturday class is from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM with lunch included. The $10.00 fee covers all necessary materials.

Snowmobile operators at least 12 years of age and born on or after Jan. 1, 1985 are required by law to complete a snowmobile safety course before opeating a snowmobile.

All students are now required to obtain a DNR Customer ID prior to taking the course.  The ID can be otained by calling 888-936-7463 or visiting a DNR Service Center during regular scheduled hours.

Persons successfully completing the course will receive a snowmobile safety graduate certificate and will be able to legally operate a snowmobile at 12 years of age.
