Bear Point Yacht Club is located in northeast Wisconsin in Marinette County on the shores of the Menominee River which seperates the State of Wisconsin from Michigan's Upper Penninsula. Just 10 miles north of Crivitz, Wisconsin, this area offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities and a chance to "get back to nature". There is a public boat landing 2 blocks away, so launching is never a problem. We are just a few short steps from our dock right on the Menominee River so stop in and say hello on your way by! The Menominee River has wild and scenic shorelines, and is great for canoeing or any type of boating. The river is just a few steps from our back door and it is ideal for canoeing and fishing, with trophy sturgeon, lunker bass and record breaking walleye, as well as musky, Northern Pike, Perch, and Panfish. It is one of the best kept secrets in Wisconsin fishing. The Menominee River is also one of the few places with a hook and line fishing season for sturgeon, the biggest fish around. Marinette County is home to 22 scenic county parks and six of them have boat landings available for public use. Several of the county parks are home to waterfalls, part of the Marinette County Waterfall Tour. We are also close to Lake Noquebay, just a few miles south, a popular recreational lake and home to the Crivitz Ski Cats, a local waterski team offering free shows during the summer. Marinette County has over 600 miles of snowmobile trails that lead right to the door of Bear Point Yacht Club. In additon, there are nearly 300 miles of ATV trails and thousands of acres of forest land in Marinette County. Just a short distance to the west is the Peshtigo River State Forest surrounding High Falls and Caldron Falls Flowages and the Nicolet National Forest in neighboring Oconto County. The abundant waterways and public lands in the area make it a favorite of the avid hunter or fisherman.
